It's important. Very important.
I admit that I flub lines up. I did the most cacktastic shout of "Elphaba!" in our last rehearsals, and I apologised for it as soon as I could.
I tried to make up for it though. I'm pretty good at delivering the lines that succeed it, if I do say so myself.
Now, when I tell you that our father is dead, that he died "of shame, embarrassed to death", your reaction shouldn't be one of giddy happiness.
It should be simple, a certain amount of sombreness to it. Yes, you say you're "glad" that our father is dead, but... it's not that type of glad.
Also: it's "ooh", not "oh".
You're astounded at the Wizard being so amazing and wonderful, you're in awe.
...And that's all for now.
